Ravens Dominate Fins – Move On To The Titans

Filed under: Sports — Bill @ 11:19 AM

The Ravens showed dominance all over the field yesterday beating Miami by a score of 27-9.  The big surprise was the play of Miami’s QB Chad Pennington who choked under the pressure applied by the Raven’s defense and coughed up 4 interceptions.  Baltimore moves onto the Divisional Round of the playoffs where they will meet the Titans in Tennessee on Saturday at 4:30pm.  The greatest thing about the Ravens being in the playoffs is that they are guaranteed to be on TV in my region.  Here is a recap for those who are interested:

Oh and as a side not I have the great pleasure of announcing the great win that San Diego had over the Baltimore Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.  All I can say is the Colts can SUCK IT!!  Have fun at home watching the Super Bowl which you will not be playing in!! :) :)

Hokies Finally Get Their BCS Win!

Filed under: Sports — Bill @ 11:05 AM

My Hokies finally came through and pulled out an Orange Bowl win over Cincinnati beating them 20-7.  It’s been a long time coming for the Hokies (their past few bowl games have not gone well), and a well deserved win for the ACC.  Though their bowl record still stinks (4-6), we at least won the big one.  For the ACC that was their first BCS win since 2000 when FSU beat…VT in the National Championship.

A few notes that I wanted to highlight:

-I am happy to say that for a least a short amount of time that the pundits cannot claim the Big (L)East is better than the ACC…seeing that we just beat their number one team.

-I never want to hear another joke about what a Hokie is…after seeing what a Bearcat is (Cincinnati’s mascot) I think they take the cake for the ugliest, and dumbest mascot around.  Here is a picture, you judge for yourself.

Enjoy oh and go Hokies!!!

Merry New Year!

Sorry about the hiatus I took, but I needed some well deserved R&R.  It’s time to bring in the new year…and get used to putting ‘09 on everything.  It’s time for broken resolutions, and counting till the warm weather returns.  Christmas and New Year’s was fun, but with the holidays over it’s time to get back to the daily grind.  To bring in the new year I have one of my favorite clips to share; Enjoy :)
