Some Things To Watch on TV

Many channels bring new rounds of shows to watch as the new year starts.  Here are a few you might want to set your DVR to:

1. American Idol (Tues @ 8pm on Fox) – I know that you either love it or hate it, but AI makes it return this week with its new season and new host this tuesday for a 2 hour premiere.
2. The Beast (Thurs @ 10pm on A&E) - Usually a show like this wouldn’t register on my radar, but ever since The Shield concluded I’ve been looking for another gritty police drama to watch.  This show features  Patrick Swayze as an FBI agent that does things his way (remind you of Vic Mackey?)  I don’t know if I’ll be able to get Swayze’s current health situation out of my head while I watch this, but I thought I would give the show a chance regardless.
3. Lie To Me (Jan 21st @ 9pm on Fox) – This doesn’t kick off till next week, but the commercials have piqued my interest.  It’s about a group of folks that help the police by basically being a human lie detector.  I’ll give it a shot to see if the show can live up to the hype.
4. 24 and Lost (on tonight @ 8, and Jan 21st respectively) – I don’t watch these shows…I know it’s a sacrilege!?! but a list of upcoming shows would not be complete without them.  

I am sure there are many others out there, but this list might keep you busy for awhile.  Enjoy!

Raven’s Move On to the AFC Championship

In a game that even surprised me, the Ravens made it out of Tennessee with a great win over the Titans.  They now move onto the AFC Championship game being held in Pittsburgh on Sunday @ 6:30.  I am not getting my hopes up since we’ve lost to Pitt twice this year, but it is a great feeling to know your home team is one win away from the Super Bowl.  Let’s hope that Raven’s defense can do its magic!  For all the Raven’s coverage you can handle click on the link before to head to the Raven’s ESPN page:

New Favorite Family Guy Song

Unfortunately, I have gotten several episodes behind on my Family Guy watching, but they have been patiently waiting for me on my DVR.  An epidsode that played in November had the Griffin’s picking u; a new dog since Brian was getting old.  Well one of the traits the “new” Brian had was singing.  Here is one of his songs:
