Barack Roll’D – Makes A Return!

Filed under: Fun — Bill @ 10:54 AM

I know I posted this video awhile back…but when the “RapidWeaver  incident” occurred back in October, I lost all my posts, including this one.  With Obama’s inauguration less than a week away I figured it was time to bring it back.

For those that have been on Youtube for awhile you understand what RickRoll’D means.  You click on a link for a video that you want to watch (usually something controversial, or risque), and it winds up playing this:

You get a good laugh, and go on with you life….

Well someone during the campaign came up with Barack Roll’D, where they pieced together clips from Obama speeches to go along with the song.  I have to say it makes me laugh every time I see it, and have to give the author credit for putting this together.  Hit the video below to watch it in its entirety:

2009 Economy – The New President’s Challenges

Filed under: Finance, Politics — Bill @ 10:41 AM

CNN Money had a decent article on 4 major challenges that the new President will face, and how it will directly effect you.  I think the part how it describes the influcences on our lives was the best part.  Here are the four challenges it goes over, and the link to the full article.  Enjoy!

  1. The bottomless housing pit
  2. Fear and loathing in the banks
  3. Another day, another 26,000 jobs lost
  4. The bill that will come due

American Idol Recap

Filed under: Media — Bill @ 10:37 AM

It’s that time again…Tuesday, Wednesday, and some Thursday evenings will be spent watching Season 8 of American Idol.  I was very happy to read that Hollywood weeks will come sooner this year, saving us from watching the awful singers, or the attention grabbing dummies (bikini girl??) parade in front of the judges.  Having a 4th judge helped the flow of the show, but I think that having to garner only 2 out of 4 votes isn’t right.  Regardless, I look forward to Entertainment Weekly’s review of each epsidsode.  It gives me something decent to read with my morning coffee.  Here is a link to last night’s show review:
