“20-10″ or “0-10″ or “‘10″?

Ever since 2001, it’s been easy to label the year we are in ‘01, ‘02, etc.  That is until 2010.  My employer’s fiscal year started on July 1st, so we are officially in fiscal year 2010.  The question I have is, how to say it…20-10, or just 10, or 0-10, as in 0-9?

Your guess is as good as mine.  I don’t think they have standards for these types of things do they?

Another Shocking Death – Steve McNair Killed Over the Weekend

Filed under: Sports — Bill @ 7:59 AM

When I read the headline, I was completely shocked. Steve McNair, former NFL (and Raven’s) QB, was shot and killed Saturday morning in what appears to be a murder suicide.  The police aren’t calling it that yet, but the scene and the back story certainly make it appear that way.  McNair had been shot four times, and what appears to be his “girlfriend” (he is still married), was shot once.  The gun was laying near the woman, and the police are not looking for other suspects at this time.  I am sure that more details will emerge, but that still won’t help the family and children he left behind.  It seems like the summer of ‘09 has not been kind, and I really hope that there are no more surprise deaths in the near future.  I think we’ve had our fill for the year.
